Developing dance technique for children aged 6 to 8 years. Second Striders begin to create and remember their own dances, whilst learning our original choreography inspired by the Theme of the Term. The class begins with a lively and physical warm-up, related to our theme, then quickly moves into travelling sequences, partner work, an exciting dance routine and creative choreographic tasks inspired by the theme. In Brighton, Second Striders is for 5 to 6 year olds, with Movers and Shakers for 6 to 8 year olds. Movers & Shakers takes it just that bit faster for slightly older kids. |
